When working with a builder on new home construction, I do not need the professional services of a licensed REALTOR®.

Quite the contrary, the builder representative works for the builder and his/her loyalty is to represent the builder's best interest. As a REALTOR® representing our client, our loyalty is solely to our client and serving your best interests. You must always tell a builder representative that you are being represented by a REALTOR® when you first meet the builder representative.
